A multi-level pick module integrates different racks and product
flow components to facilitate order fulfillment. The pick module
consists of a support structure, usually including beams, cross
columns, floors, ramps, stairs and platforms.
The product is then stored in selective rack, pallet flow rack,
case flow rack and shelving, which can be extracted from conveyors,
ferries and trolleys, thus customizing and extending the module to meet final
requirements.

The pick module uses gravity flow to move products from the
replenishment aisle to the pick faces. Selective racking in the
module uses the vertical cube of the warehouse for pick position.
The pick module utilizes valuable space and thus reduces the
distance between pick faces.

Pick modules are ideally suited to storing and picking in
high-speed environments as they are able to centralize and manage
large quantities of different types of products. Picking modules
are usually multi-story shelf structures that move products from
the picking area to the transport area via conveyors. Product
replenishment within the sample modules takes place in external
aisles, usually using forklifts.
