VNA racking refers to very narrow aisle pallet racking, usually
used in warehouses to optimize available space. These systems have
aisle widths ranging from 1.5 - 2.0 meters, depending on the depth
of the pallet is stored. This means that these systems can free up
an average of 45% of the building space.
In addition, these systems optimize the height of the warehouse and
therefore maximize the available space, as unused vertical areas
will become viable storage areas. In addition, this will allow the
number of goods stored on pallets to grow and your stock to
increase if necessary without the need to relocate to a larger
warehouse.

Main Applications of VNA Racking System
VNA racking is particularly recommended for companies whose
warehouses have one of the following characteristics:
- Warehouses that need direct and immediate access to each unit
load/pallet, but at the same time, need to optimize the space
available.
- Warehouses that require a large amount of stock.
- Warehouses that do not have a large footprint, but where the
possibility of installing the system is high.
This pallet racking system is used by many different types of
industries for companies that have minimal storage capacity in
their warehouses but need to increase it within the available
space.
Advantages of VNA Racking System

- Stock rotation - FIFO (first-in-first-out ordering) is easily
achieved through manual processes or warehouse management systems

per-pallet location basis
In order to use these systems effectively, specialist trucks such
as articulated or VNA trucks must be used. Very narrow aisle trucks
do not turn and can therefore only move vertically. A rail or line
guidance system is required to mount the truck to the system's
function. Articulated trucks, however, do not require a guidance
system. These trucks need to be used because the aisle width is too
narrow for a standard truck to operate.
In addition to specialist trucks, there are other requirements for
very narrow racking systems. One of these consists of a flat,
preferably concrete floor. This ensures the safety of the racks and
employees, as on uneven surfaces the racks can be hit by trucks,
creating a health and safety hazard.
