Features of very narrow aisle pallet racks
1. Mostly, very narrow aisle racking systems are designed with high
bay for fully vertical space utilizaiton.
2. The initial investment for VNA is relatively large with high
quality steel and special VNA forklifts for material handling.
3. The whole working difficulty has risen since forklifts have to
work in narrower aisles dealing with higher bays.
4. The VNA aisle width is about 8’ to 10’, while aisle width of
standard pallet racking systems is commonly ranged from 12’ to 14’.
5. 100% selectivity and full accessibility just like conventional
selective pallet racks since the basic configuration remains same.
6. Obeying First-in/First-out (FIFO) stock rotation, VNA system is
suitable for fast turn-over items.
7. VNA systems can function as the basic storage units for ASRS
