Economical Drive In And Drive Through Pallet Racking System For Industrial Storage

Drive-in pallet racks are very economical high-density storage solutions with pallet storage rails extending to the bay depth. The storage density and rack capacity is limited by the rack depth. By decreasing aisles, the drive-in pallet racking system is able to optimize the warehouse space.

Details of the Drive-in and Drive-through Racks

Drive-through pallet racks are derived from drive-in systems with two aisles. Having same structure though, different from drive-in with one entry, drive-through the system have two loading and unloading points each lane where both FIFO and LIFO can be managed. That is, forklifts can enter the racks from two sides for retrieval and storage. Lacking the structure stability of drive-in racks, more top bracing and other supported components may be added to the system for safety concerns.

In drive in racks, large quantity products of fewer SKUs that require no fast turnover can be stored perfectly. So many cold warehouses and freezers would take invest saving drive in rack as their preferential solution. However, time-sensitive commodities or perishable products need quick circulation are more suitable to drive through systems. With simple and easy-to-install structure, the drive-in and the drive-through system can also be combined with standard pallet racks and other picking shelves for special purposes.
