Heavy Duty Narrow Aisle (VNA) Racking for Warehouse Storage

Very Narrow Aisle Pallet Racking, also known as VNA Pallet Racking, is a development over selective pallet racking. Utilizing specialized forklift truck equipment, the system is operated. The VNA truck may pick up pallets from the aisle without turning by rotating its mast or fork from left to right. In comparison to conventional trucks, VNA trucks can operate in aisles with margined width and larger height.

The width of the aisle varies between 1700 and 2000mm depending on the reach height and pallet depth. The optimal choice for high-density storage has a floor utilization of 50% and 100% selectivity. First-In-First-Out/First-In-Last-Out (FIFO/FILO) is the basis on which the system operates, making it appropriate for inventory that needs to be cycled often. To put it another way, because the first items to be deposited are also the first to be retrieved, this sort of storage may accommodate products with a short shelf life. The system provides 100% selective access to each pallet, therefore it works for items that need FILO inventory management.

Narrow racks can minimize the amount of clear space needed each aisle from the standard 3 to 4.5 meters to only 1.8 meters (or just under 6ft). As a result, there is a sizable amount of space that may be saved, but the cost is that specialized vehicles are required to load and unload goods.

Employees may pick orders from pallets significantly more quickly using narrow aisle racking than with traditional storage systems, especially when combined with turret trucks. In addition to lifting operators to any bay so they can pick and remove merchandise directly, turret trucks can be used to load and unload pallets.
